What Do You Feed Baby Chickens in Albion Online

Raising chickens profitable? Or is it a stepping stone to other animals?

      • 1

After a few days, I find the raw meat sells for more than the live chickens.

Also, it's 90 carrots to feed a full pasture. Which is over 30k silvery if sold.

I just get baby chicks in one case, and eggs sell for nothing.

I exercise go great Chef levels butchering, simply that's it

Is information technology just a stepping stone?

Although carrots and raw chicken sell for about the same price, each craven gives twenty pieces not ten. The ix chickens will give 60-70k worth of meat. Also, a hidden cost is in the focus required to raise the carrots or the price of the seed if focus is not used on the carrots.

You are correct virtually the eggs, Sell off the meat and the excess baby chickens for max income.

Yeah, and fame from butchering brings up chef skills very fast. Almost the easiest manner to level these up essentially at no toll since you take to butcher them anyway.

Best thing nearly raising chickens or every bit I'm doing sheep, is it takes the least focus points to increase your animal convenance skills. You'll need that to afford the focus needs for raising the mounts and rare animals equally they have an immense number of focus points practical multiple times.

And then in short, if I'yard only interested in fabricated income, chickens is a no dice.
Unless I plan on doing mounts later. I put up 9 t3 ox yesterday. Hope that is amend

Yes. Your all-time bet is to await at T3 Riding horses and T3 Oxen since those two are very common mounts the people notice themselves needing (Horse more so then ox since theres more than pvp'ers then gatherers and etc.)

Making money in long term, chickens is not the manner to get, only it allows y'all to lower the focus cost early on . Raising mounts (horses or oxen) takes 3 days of focus to requite the 1350 fame when they are harvested. That means it takes three times as long to skill-up the breeding levels. I've been farming for over a couple of months, and finally have the unit cost below 500 for each animal. That would take about a year raising merely mounts. I tin can now enhance eighteen animals with the 10k focus points versus ix at starting price. Some other trouble is you have to feed them several days also then more than cost per animal.

I did the T3 oxen, but did T4 horses instead, overall turn a profit was higher on them at the time I did it. Cost is about the same to raise then cheque out the cost for babies versus grown animals in your auction house.

      Ok then basically:
      1) raise chickens (for now) to:
      ....a) lower focus costs faster
....b) gain chef skill (side benefit)
....c) then switch to preferred mount
This despite lowered profits in the mean, as there volition still be profits. Just less. In brusque, a gambit. A loss for now in exchange for gains later.

The more than you level chicken breeding the less focus required the more chickens/chick you can grow. As far as I know you can cap focus usage to 125 per use if max spec.

Dont you lot get more fame per farm on mounts since they take longer to abound, iirc i got 3xfame on 3day animals.
Also you should just abound whatever animate being meat sells most consistently, unless making mounts, since the meat/food/focus/baby ratio is same for every butcherable animal, same for plants. Then get your skills up for that one product you lot want to grow and so focus on it to get focuscosts downward and it gets better and better.

You need to see it as an investment :)
The most common fault new island owners practice is that they endeavour to exercise too much.
Stick to 1 matter either you focus on animate being raising, or on growing stuff.
After you have decided what route you want to take, yous have ii options.
You can go all in, or just exercise small-scale scale.
If you decide to go small calibration, showtime with two plot for chickens(goats or whatever u want), and ii plots for carrots.
I do not recommend T6 islands, the last plot is not worth 3.7m.
The rules for sticking to 1 matter is cleaved here, but the matter is that yous can abound carrots without focus and make silvery, but long term its not worth information technology.
So every day yous have 10k focus, utilise 9k focus on the chickens, yep you actually want those baby chickens, save the last 1k focus for later.
Only fill 1 plot with baby chickens.(if u take 30k focus, past all ways fill up both plots)
afterwards 1 cycle, your baby chickens should accept turned into chickens, and hopefully they have produced a lot of baby chickens, now y'all fill the 1st plot with baby chickens, and all the extra baby chickens you put in the adjacent plot, but but as many as you have focus for, yes again u really want to stock pile the baby chickens.
Over time you focus will get lower, and u tin can scale upward when your focus allows information technology.
The large scale model is very simple, become all in 4 plots with baby chickens, rent a few islands or purchase them and you will get huge turn a profit in a calendar month or 2, but initial investment price is very loftier.

I started out with a field (ix) of carrots. As focus price dropped, I went to 2 fields (eighteen), then 3 fields. Then started upwards i pasture of chickens using some of the carrots I had accumulated and stopped carrots, When focus price for chicks dropped enough, I started a new carrot field to feed them, Did change to goats when I could as they seemed more than profitable.

Am currently raising xv goats and 18 carrots to keep them fed daily. Goat meat, extra carrots and seeds, and extra kids brings in over 200k daily and butchering has raised cooking to it's max of 100. Vegetable farming has maxed at 100 and animals is up to lxxx. When animals reaches 100, I'm going to change over to herbs and add together back in the carrots when herb focus cost drops enough to give me actress complimentary focus points.

I programme to eventually have animals, vegetables, and herbs all at 250 focus or less and then I tin vary what I abound when I want to. Not the highest income maybe, simply versatility is swell.

      Larn something new every day.
